This Refund & Cancellation Policy describes HackerHub8's practices and procedures regarding cancellations, refunds, and related payment adjustments for our workshops, internships, courses, events, digital products, subscriptions, and consulting services (collectively, the "Programs"). This Policy applies to all purchases made through our website, invoicing system, or via authorized sales channels.
2. Definitions
User / Participant: Any individual or organization that enrolls, registers, or purchases a Program from HackerHub8.
Booking: A confirmed registration or sale for a Program.
Purchase Date: Date on which payment was completed.
Processing Time: Time required by payment processors and banks to complete refunds (see Section 11).
3. General Refund Principles
HackerHub8 strives to be fair and transparent. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to the eligibility rules below. All refund requests must be made in writing to contact@hackerhub8.in within the timeframes specified for each Program.
4. Cancellation by Participant — Workshops & Short Courses
Full refund: If you cancel at least 7 full calendar days before the Program start date, you are eligible for a full refund minus any non-refundable transaction fees charged by payment processors.
Partial refund: Cancellations made between 72 hours and 7 days before the start date are eligible for a 50% refund of the Program fee.
No refund: Cancellations within 72 hours of the Program start date, or after the Program has started, are not eligible for a refund. You may, however, request credit for a future session subject to approval.
For extended programs and memberships, we offer a pro-rata refund policy under certain conditions:
If you cancel within 14 days of purchase and have used less than 10% of the Program content or benefits, you may be eligible for a pro-rata refund (less administrative fees).
No refunds are provided after 14 days unless otherwise stipulated in a separate written agreement.
Memberships billed monthly may be canceled at any time; billing stops at the end of the current cycle but previously paid fees are non-refundable unless required by local consumer laws.
6. Digital Goods, Downloadables & On-Demand Content
Digital products (recorded courses, e-books, downloadable code, templates) are delivered immediately upon purchase and are therefore typically non-refundable unless the content is demonstrably defective or materially different from the description. To request a refund for digital goods, contact support with evidence of the issue.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling by HackerHub8
If HackerHub8 cancels a Program for any reason, participants will be offered a choice between a full refund or credit toward a future Program.
If a Program is rescheduled, participants will be notified and given the option to accept the new date or request a full refund.
HackerHub8 is not responsible for participant travel or accommodation costs; any reimbursement for non-refundable travel expenses will be at our sole discretion and may require proof of loss.
8. Special Circumstances & Force Majeure
In the event of extraordinary circumstances beyond our control (natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, war, or other force majeure events), HackerHub8 may modify Programs, reschedule, or cancel them without liability. Participants will be offered refunds or credits as appropriate and communicated on a case-by-case basis.
9. Refunds for Group Bookings & Corporate Training
Group bookings and corporate contracts frequently have bespoke terms. Refund and cancellation terms for corporate clients will be governed by the signed contract between HackerHub8 and the client. Please refer to your contract or contact your account manager for assistance.
10. Chargebacks & Fraud Prevention
If you dispute a charge with your bank or payment provider (a chargeback), HackerHub8 will investigate. If the chargeback is found to be without merit and the funds are returned to us, you may be liable for the Program fee and any associated bank or administrative charges. We reserve the right to suspend access to Programs pending resolution of payment disputes.
11. Payment Methods & Processing Time
We accept payments via major credit/debit cards, UPI, net-banking, and authorized payment gateways listed at checkout.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method wherever possible. Processing time varies by provider and may take 5–21 business days to appear in your account.
Transaction fees charged by banks or payment gateways may not be refundable. Any refunds will reflect the net amount after such fees where applicable.
Reason for the refund request and any supporting documents
We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 3 business days and resolve them within 10–15 business days, depending on complexity and payment method.
13. Taxes, Fees & Currency
Prices shown at checkout include applicable taxes where required. Refunds will be issued in the original currency of payment. Any currency conversion costs incurred by banks or payment processors are the responsibility of the participant.
14. Amendments
HackerHub8 may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be published on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
